The unconscious does the heavy lifting in this second stage, rest - resting the conscious mind. They say it's a matter of listening, trusting, and not to forcing things. It's a bit weird considering we're always trying to fix or do but there seems to be something to it.


For instance, I did not know what this piece was when I made it. I knew it was a fun thing to do, so I jumped at it. I had wanted to make three pieces illustrating the creative process but did not know how, so I left it alone. It was only when I was half way through making the 'third' piece (Launch) that I realised all three were connected. The process worked!
