Old Irish coins rejuvenated as pendants on a silver chain, with a brass base.
This is the final edition of the five pence piece, part of the Irish currency which came to an end in 2002. In 1926, the coinage committee, founded by the newly formed Irish Free State and chaired by William Butler Yeats, selected from competition the harp for the front, and animals significant to the Irish economy on the back.
These pendants are machine polished to a high a shine as possible but the focus is on retaining the features of the figures so there may be wear marks from their lives as coins. The pendant comes in a black leatherette clam box with gold trim and black velvet interior. Available for pick up in Cork city centre, or postage for €5.
If you have your own particular coin you would like in pendant form, I would be happy to transform it for you.
